China's bustling railway system

Every year when spring festival approaches, i always come up with the bustling railway system. The scene of millions of worried passengers crowned into busy railway hubs will suddenly strike me as i'm already in it. It is the time when the whole nation is on the move.

Having lived in GZ-the biggest city in southern China as well as the centre of this bustle-for many years, i actually have got quite accustomed to the 'ocean of people' gathered in the square outside GZ railway station, but what keeps on reminding me of the impressive scene is that the ever-lasting fanscination to and awareness of HOME buried inside everybody's soul. No matter how difficult it will be for them to get a ticket, no matter how often the trains are going to be delayed, no matter how long the will have to wait and jostle among the crowd, regardless of anything, they are so determined to go back.

'Home is the harbour of our soul.' Actually, i didn't quite understand it when i learnt it in primary school and don't know why i've brought it along. Now in SGP, i seem to have known it better. In an entirely new environment far far away from home, breathing the air which is neither cold nor happy at this moment that will inform us of the coming of the spring festival under the unfamiliar atmosphere, i can sence the feelings of those who are eager to be back.

I can still recall clearly what happened at this time last year, when the huge snow storm hit south China, cuting off the ways people heading northward, and when over six million immigrant workers were trapped in GZ railway station. How united Chinese people are! Everyone was taking them part in fighting against the disaster and beat it within few days. Though i was busy preparing for my examination then, i kept track of it all the way and couldn't help being deeply impressed.

Now, again people have already paused their work and have been on their way home. Wish them all good luck!
