3. Secrets of the Furious Five

I have no doubt that most of you have seen the popular movie showed last year—Kung Fu Panda. It was amazing and won lots of praise. And I’m also sure that not very many of have seen Kung Fu Panda—Secrets of the Furious Five.

It's a short movie about how the Furious Five became so strong and invincible. Each of them represented a kind of quality.

Story begins with Po and Master Shifu together going to settle a mission. Shifu said that this might be the toughest challenge Po has ever face. And the mission turned out to be teaching a Kung Fu class, and the students were a group of bunnies. These rabbits knew nothing about Kung Fu but getting fight with each other. They attended the class hoping to learn the awesome Kung Fu moves. Being a Dragon Warrior successfully, Po had already known the truth of Kung Fu. He taught the bunnies the secrets of Kung Fu that the Furious Five had learned to become excellent.

Mantis had a extremely fast speed, and his world was so different from others’. He began to get impatient with the slow world movement. And because of this, he got trapped by the crocodiles. During his prison time, he finally found one thing he’d been missing—patience. And he beat the crocodiles and excelled himself.

Great Master Viper was the greatest for his poison tips. But dramatically, his daughter was born without fangs and venoms. On Moon Festival, Great Master Viper’s teeth were broken when he tried to bite an orangutan with a poison-proof armor. The Little Viper used her ribbon dance defeated the orangutan. Her father was delighted that Viper could fight without venom. That night Viper found courage, a power far more potent than venom.

Crane was a janitor at a Kung Fu class, and he did all sweeping and washing stuffs. He was amazing doing these things, and he was encouraged by Tigress to try out for the Kung Fu school. But Crane felt he was too skinny. The try out was so difficult that no one passed. Crane stepped into the barrier and achieved to get the red flag. He felt something new—confidence, from his little skinny feet to the top of his beak, even his hat full of confidence.

Tigress Meilin was living in an orphanage. She was described as a monster because she wasn’t like other little rabbits or ducks. All the adults are afraid of her, and no one wanted to adopt her, but Master Shifu. Shifu taught Meilin that this game required discipline, position, still hand and steady heart. Meilin was asked to control her temper, and she did it.

Monkey was very BAD in the valley of peace. The citizens failed to ask him leave, so they want to make him leave. No matter who the villagers sent to make Monkey leave, he could beat the pants off anyone. Almost anyone. Master Oogway came and beat Monkey. Oogway saved Monkey, and helped Monkey find one thing that he would denied so long ago. Not his pant, but compassion.

Not only Kung Fu requires patience, courage, discipline, confidence and compassion, but we people also do. We need them to help us learn knowledge as well as build our own career.
